Change is Okay Bracelet

In my front yard we have this beautiful pecan tree that has to be at least 100 years old. Everyone who visits us comments on the beauty of that tree with its sprawling branches that reach out in all directions, as if it has a mind of its own.

Each fall, the leaves on the tree slowly start to lose their color before they gently drift to the ground. While this may sound a bit poetic, the reality is that the reason the leaves change and fall is because they have died. Then, for a season, that tree sits there, bare as can be. It's let go of all that protected it in the interest of starting again. 

The following spring, like clockwork, I see what that tree was doing - new branches sprout up, the bigger branches reach a bit further, and the tree becomes even fuller than the year before. 

That action is so perfectly emblematic of our lives, isn't it? We all go through seasons where we let go of the things that made us comfortable in hopes of coming back even stronger. That's what this beautiful ZOX is meant to remind you of - that change is okay - in fact many times it's the only way we're going to see real growth.
